Sodium hyaluronic acid

Sodium hyaluronic acid is a form of hyaluronic acid that is commonly used in cosmetic and medical products. It has several effects on the human body, especially on the skin and joints.

Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in the skin and has the ability to bind large amounts of water. When the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid is applied to the skin, it forms a protective film that helps to maintain moisture in the skin. This improves the hydration, elasticity and softness of the skin.

Sodium hyaluronic acid salt is often used as an ingredient in cosmetic products to fill wrinkles and improve skin texture. When applied to the skin, it can fill in small wrinkles and fine lines, resulting in smoother and younger-looking skin.

Hyaluronic acid also promotes wound healing and tissue regeneration. Applying sodium hyaluronic acid on injured skin or after surgery can promote faster healing and reduce the visibility of scars.

It is a natural component of joint sebum, which helps reduce friction and provides needed lubrication to joints. When sodium hyaluronic acid is applied to the joints, it improves joint mobility, reduce inflammation and relieve pain associated with arthritis or other joint conditions.
