Trigonella foenum-graecum

Trigonella foenum-graecum is the botanical name for the plant known as fenugreek, also called fenugreek. The seeds of watercress contain various bioactive compounds, including flavonoids, saponins, and phytoestrogens, which give it its properties and effects.

Watercress contains mucilage and fiber, which regulate blood sugar levels. It has hypoglycemic effects and contributes to better control of diabetes. The presence of dietary fiber slows down the absorption of sugar, thus preventing a sharp rise in blood sugar levels.
